Healing Begins Here

A Healing Home Away From Home

Treating and healing mental health diagnoses and addiction occurs most effectively in a homelike, nurturing environment. Infusing belief in each person’s potential combined with specialized therapeutic resources in a homelike environment brings transformative new beginnings to hundreds of individuals each year. This therapeutic, nurturing approach is just part of the success made possible in our Residential Treatment Facilities (RTFs).

Adele Gilbert, Darlington, and ARTS Residential Treatment Facilities need your support to freshen up these nurturing and healing spaces.

Help Make A Healing Home Away From Home Possible

Gulf Coast JFCS has launched a special Residential Treatment Facility Fund to direct philanthropic contributions to help ensure our Residential Treatment Facilities can remain home-like spaces. From a fresh coat of paint to new sturdy and comfortable furniture to new floors, the therapeutic communities at Adele Gilbert, Darlington & ARTS RTFs need our support to remain trusted resources for healing.

Living in a healing, temporary home environment also requires a supportive housing environment helped by such aesthetics as fresh paint, wall art, unworn furniture, outdoor seating and access to recreational activities such as gardening, reading, cooking or even a game of ping-pong fosters positive routines and purposeful social interactions to help residents thrive.

Creating a ‘home away from home’ means maintaining a home-like space. From a fresh coat of paint to new sturdy and comfortable furniture to new floors, the residential therapeutic communities at Darlington & Adele Gilbert Residential Treatment Facilities need our support to remain the trusted resource for healing.

“Without Darlington Residential Treatment Facility, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today.” – Jessi

Make an Impact:

Your support of the Gulf Coast JFCS Residential Treatment Facility Fund will:

  • Freshen up paint, wall art, and floors to provide lighter, cheerier interior spaces;
  • Open up outdoor space for enjoyment with purchase of gardening equipment as well as outdoor seating, tables and benches;
  • Enhance indoor conversational seating with unworn, slightly used furniture;
  • And provide for social recreation items like foosball, ping-pong, and other table games.

These funds will be directed to making needed physical improvements possible in these healing spaces.

For those dealing with addition and mental health challenges, unstructured time and isolation are the most challenging parts of recovery.
