What:

Golf Like A Rock Star and the “It’s Only Rock and Roll” Concert is a #PartyWithAPurpose. This is an over-the-top rocked out event.  The morning will kick – off with a round of golf limited to 120 players (rock stars included). A live canon will announce the shot-gun start at 10 AM.  Other features include tricked out golf carts, rocked out goodie bags, a cigar bar with hand-rolled cigars. The gates will then open at 4:30 pm for the It’s Only Rock and Roll Concert. This  event will be limited to 500 party-goers who will start the evening with a walk down the green carpet while our paparazzi captures your rocked-out look on our logo wall. VIP’s will enjoy an open bar and food with DJ Wicked Wanda spinning tunes while you wander over to the temporary tattoo tent to get your retro tat.  Don’t forget to check out our concert-tees.

The awards ceremony will begin at 5:00 PM,
featuring the presentation of the
2nd Annual M.A. Bernstein Award for Behavioral Health Awareness. 

This year, State Representative Kathleen Peters will be our honoree. 

6:30 pm  Kicks off The It’s Only Rock and Roll concert featuring

The Stormbringer Band with performances by:

Why:

Gulf Coast Jewish Family & Community Services serves a diverse population of all faiths, ages, cultures and lifestyles. Our company offers programs in 35 different Florida Counties and helps approximately 30,000 people annually.  The proceeds of this event will go to our Behavioral Health Programs which encompasses:

  • Adult Residential Treatment and Stabilization that consists of psychiatric services and psychosocial rehabilitation.
  • Supported Housing to individuals with serious mental illness
  • Substance Abuse Intervention services for ages 21 and older.
  • Elderly Education that provides substance abuse community education focusing on the mismanagement of medication and alcohol.

According to the Center for Disease Control Report the economic burden of mental illness in the United States is substantial—approximately $300 billion and about 25% of U.S. adults suffer with mental illness.

The latest National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), estimates that 22.7 million Americans need treatment for a drug or alcohol problem.

Despite fame, fortune and occupation, in the eyes of Behavioral Health, everyone is fair game.
