keeping families together and children out of foster care
The Wraparound Safe at Home Pasco Diversion Program is a short-tem, intensive, in-home community based program serving families where children are at imminent risk for removal from their homes. The major goal of the Safe at Home Program is to keep children safe and prevent families from entering the child welfare dependency system. Safe at Home only accepts referrals from Eckerd Community Alternatives and the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
The Program will provide the necessary clinical services and case management to strengthen the families’ ability to maintain family safety, support and stabilization with the aid of family, friends and community.
Services are offered at no charge to families in East and West Pasco County who have a child (ren) 0-17 years of age residing in home.
The Wraparound Safe at Home team always includes a Certified Child Protection Care Manager and either a Master’s Level Counselor, Certified Addiction Professional and/or a Family Advocate, depending on the needs of the family. The team provides therapeutic interventions that target family stabilization to families challenged with substance abuse, family violence, child abuse and neglect, lack of parenting skills among many other challenges. Upon completion of services, families are expected to be empowered, have a greater ability to problem solve and access needed community resources to help them face future challenges.
