Holocaust Survivor Rosh Hashanah Luncheon

Forty Holocaust survivors gathered at Temple Beth-El in Pasadena last month to celebrate Rosh Hashanah. Gulf Coast JFCS organized this lunch to help Holocaust survivors in theTampa Bay area socialize and come together during the High Holy Days. Rabbi Michael Torop gave a D’var Torah which was appreciated by all. Temple Beth-El’s Social Action Committee created and donated 12 beautiful themed gift baskets which were raffled off to 12 lucky winners. Survivors sang European folk songs and reminisced about happier times with loved ones, now long gone. Edith Sanders of South Tampa said “she looks forward to celebrating with other survivors on holidays and remembering good and bad times from the past together.” Lunch was provided by Chives Catering.
Funding for this event was provided by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany
