Non-Custodial Parent Employment Program (NCPEP)

The Non-Custodial Parent Employment Program (NCPEP) assists unemployed or under-employed non-custodial parents get back ‘on track’ in establishing a pattern of regular child-support payments by obtaining and maintaining unsubsidized, competitive employment.

NCPEP meets clients as early as custody hearings and provides immediate support to the non-custodial parent.

By making timely child support payments, the non-custodial parent builds and maintains a solid and positive relationship with their children, as well as the custodial parent. It provides a sense of pride and accomplishment in knowing that non-custodial parents are still vital and contributing family members.

NCPEP helps non-custodial parents in a variety of ways, including:
  • Job searching, career planning and referrals
  • Interview training and resume writing
  • Vocational and educational assessments
  • Guidance on child support-related issues
  • Services to help maintain and/or advance in job
  • Assistance with work-related expenses
