Homeless Emergency Shelter

Homelessness does not discriminate.

The Homeless Emergency Shelter provides temporary emergency housing, case management and other vital supports for homeless women and women who have children in Pasco County.

A professional staff with over 15 years experience make up the shelter program.  Strong community resources and linkages assist our clients with finding employment and provide resources to help move residents into homes of their own.

Each client receives:
  •  Emergency shelter
  •  Emergency food and clothing 
  •  Assistance with applying for eligible benefits
  •  Subsidized day care 
  •  Medicaid and referrals for health care for the uninsured 
  •  30 days to find employment
  •  Shared computers to search for available jobs and to create a professional-looking resume
  •  Free daily bus passes to find work and housing
Once a resident finds employment, additional assistance includes:
  •  Budget planning
  •  An residential extension to three months (maximum) to increase financial savings
  •  Referrals to other organizations to assist with turning savings into housing and utility deposits
  •  Furniture collection (via donations) to help furnish a new home
