Children & Family Services

Child Protective Services Supervision – in-home protective supervision for children in Polk and Hillsborough Counties referred by state protective service investigators. Family Diversion Program – in-home and intervention services to families at risk of having their children removed from the home.
Family Skill Builders – a short term, high-intensity parenting and home care skills teaching program for parents at risk of having their children removed from the home due to neglect or abuse. Homeless Emergency Shelter – provides temporary emergency housing, case management and other vital supports for women and children in Pasco County.
Violence Prevention Program – evidence-based program in Pinellas County middle schools that works with students, staff, parents and the community to reduce violence and drug use and promote family preservation. Woman-to-Woman Program –  a mentoring program for teenage mothers and pregnant girls who are at risk for academic failure and repeat pregnancies.

Elder & Disabled Services

Community Care for Disabled Adults – case management and homemaker services to help individuals with catastrophic disabilities to remain in the community. Myrtle Oaks – apartment complex for low income elderly located in northeast Tampa.
Community Care for the Elderly – case management coordination to enable frail and functionally impaired elders to remain in their homes and avoid or delay placement in a nursing home. Homemaker Services for Frail Elderly – assistance with homemaker services for elderly individuals in Pinellas County.
Elderly Counseling Services – for persons 60 years of age or older in Pasco county who would benefit from geriatric or mental health counseling services.

Employment Services 

Noncustodial Parent Employment Program – assists unemployed or underemployed non-custodial parents in establishing a pattern of regular child-support payments by obtaining and maintaining unsubsidized, competitive employment.

Jewish Community Services

Caring Companions Program – matches elders and disabled with companions to assist with basic needs in the home to avoid institutional placement. Family Support Services – emergency assistance in meeting basic human needs for the Jewish community in Pasco and Pinellas counties.
Geriatric Care Management – helping the disabled and elderly who have no local family support to remain in a safe and secure environment by providing assessment and case management services. Holocaust Survivor Program – improving the quality of life for Holocaust survivors in the Tampa Bay area with basic services, support groups, social events and religious holiday celebrations.
Jewish Family Life Education – support groups for children, adults and families. Outpatient Counseling Services – individual, child, adolescent, family, couples, and marriage counseling available to the entire community.
YAD b’yad (Hand in hand) – Jewish adult volunteers provide companionship and act as role models for Jewish children in single parent homes.

Mental Health Services

Residential Programs & Treatment Centers

Alternative Family Program – therapeutic foster homes for adults or seniors with mental illness. Darlington and Chatlin Homes – intensive residential programs with psychiatric services, medication management, life skills training, case management and other supports.
Extended Geriatric Residential Treatment System (E-GRTS) – intensive residential program for seniors 50 years of age and older with severe and persistent mental illness. Supported Housing/Living Program – assists individuals with serious mental illness or co-occurring substance abuse issues to live independently in the community.
Adele Gilbert Residential Treatment Facility formerly known as the 66th Street Group Home – residential treatment program in Pinellas County, for chronically mentally ill adults who also may have co-occurring substance abuse issues.

Geriatric Counseling Services

Elder Ed Program – substance abuse education programming focusing on the prevention of alcohol abuse and medication mismanagement among the elderly. Elder Substance Abuse Intervention – intervention services for adults 55 and older in Pinellas and Pasco Counties who might be at high risk of medication misuse and/or alcohol abuse.
Older Adults Support Team – specialized intervention for elders at risk of suicide.

Individual Support Programs

Mental Health Overlay – servings nursing home and assisted living (ALF) residents who have secondary psychiatric diagnoses. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Outreach – assists present or former welfare recipients having difficulty securing or maintaining employment due to mental health or substance abuse issues.
Young Adult Transitional Program in Broward County – provides support and assistance to young adults who have serious emotional or behavioral difficulties in making a successful transition to adulthood..

Refugee Services

Florida Center for Survivors of Torture (FCST) – treatment center for survivors of torture and extreme trauma. National Partnership for Community Training (NPCT) – a national assistance and training program helping service providers throughout the nation to effectively provide for torture survivors in their community.
Naturalization Program – facilitating civics-based English and citizenship classes. Refugee Youth and Family Services Program – academic and acculturation assistance to newly arriving refugee youth to improve their overall adjustment to life in the United States.
Resettlement Program – resettles refugees from around the world who have been persecuted and fled to the U.S. to provide their families with freedom, safety and liberty. VOICES Program – professional spoken language interpretation for individuals with limited English proficiency.
